Trimmer ElectroSinus is a high capacity product used for module cutting of timber. Each piece of timber is cut in stages around a module length. Trimmer ElectroSinus combines the trimmer arm and the split shaft from its predecessor, the TriAx trimmer, and the blade rotation, cutting support and support from underneath, as well as sawdust transport, from the Sinus trimmer. In addition, Renholmen has created a brand new solution for the cutting motion, with optimisable control.

Description of features

The trimmer is intended for blades used to module-cut timber. The timber is transported past the blades by a chain conveyor with carriers between each blade. The timber slides onto chain guides and once in the cutting position is held down by spring-loaded holders. All of this ensures the timber is enclosed on all sides during the sawing, which optimises the cut conditions during the saw motion. The blades are attached to blade arms that are raised by a link rod and a toothed gear drive motor for each blade arm. Those blades that are not cutting the timber piece in question stay in an up position. The blades cut the timber pieces in a controlled motion in which we can alter the speed during the cutting motion. This enables a short carrier division, which gives a lower throughput speed of the timber with maintained capacity. As the blades rotate towards the carriers, the chippings and sawdust are sent backwards/upwards. The chippings and sawdust are captured and sent into the sawdust duct. In the sawdust duct, the sawdust is transported on a carrier conveyor out to the sides of the machine and extracted through two suction connectors. The sawdust duct, together with the folding hatches, is automatically pushed away for servicing or blade replacement. This provides optimal access to the blades/blade arms.
