Product description
In the event of a short stop in the green sorting plant, the buffer is used to temporarily receive and store the timber flow from the sawmill, so the mill won’t have to be stopped. Once the stoppage has been remedied, the buffer is emptied at the same time as timber from the saw is received and sorted.• Very high accessibility from the saw-line.
- Careful handling of the timber.
- Robust, tried and tested design solutions
- Patented (SE 1251380-0, EP 13195158.4)
- Fully-automatic control of reloading and emptying.
Function description
If a green sorting stop occurs when sawing is in progress, the the timber is automatically redirected to the buffer elevator for storage as a bundle on a chain conveyor. When the buffer elevator receives timber from the saw it is in its horizontal position. As soon as sorting restarts, the main flow is automatically redirected from the saw to the sorting plant, and the buffer elevator is rotated back down to its conventional position. The elevator lifts and sorts timber into a collection bin and carries the timber for onward transverse transport. The temporarily stored timber is apportioned back and mixed into the main flow. This is achieved by increasing the speed in the sorting plant until the buffer is empty. The buffer function with both buffering and emptying together with the automatic speed control of the sorting plant is semi-automatic.
