Product description
A tilt is used to separate the sticks from the timber in a timber package by tilting the package so that the timber layers can slide off onto a subsequent chain conveyor while the sticks slide down between the chain gears. The package changeover time can be minimized with the help of an auxiliary elevator that takes over and lifts the package the last bit while the main elevator retrieves the next package. Frozen or stuck sticks can be released by equipping the tilt with some form of stick loosener.

Function description
To minimize the package changeover time in a tilt, it can be equipped with an auxiliary elevator that takes over and completes the lifting movement while the main elevator in the tilt retrieves the next package. The package is then ready to be lifted and discharged directly once the auxiliary elevator is finished. To ensure that the top layer is flat during discharge, an optional skewing function is available. The level of the top layer of the package is corrected on both sides of the package by the outer lifting arms in the auxiliary elevator beneath the package being adjustable. The so-called skewing occurs fully automatically, and with the help of ultrasonic sensors, the level of the package ends is detected and adjusted against the level in the middle of the package.
