Softbin

SoftBin, a more careful bin emptying function, is available as an option to the sink bins. SoftBin is for preventing the timber bundle uncontrollably falling out of the bin during emptying. Flaps are lowered at the fore and aft ends of the bottom hatch. The bottom hatch is lowered down under the underlying chain conveyor, and the forward flap opens, and the timber bundle can be transported away. This function also implies that the bottom hatch is lower and can be raised higher up in the bin, protecting the first timber pieces when refilling the bins. The controlled emptying process gives more orderly timber bundles towards the elevator section, counteracting stoppage in the elevator section.
